Add a map
A floor plan or photo of your wall with each problem pinned, so climbers find problems on their phones. You set it up yourself and change it as often as you like.
Climbers see the map on their phone: Problems, then Map, beside the list. Each problem shows as its number on its hold colour, topped ones are marked, and a tap opens the problem to score, as in the list. The list stays: the map is an extra.
1. Add the map
- Open your league or comp, Map tab, and pick the round.
- Press Add a map: photo or floor plan. On a phone you can take the photo there and then.
- Use a floor plan, or a photo of the wall with no people in it.
It is made smaller on your phone or computer before it is saved (about 1600 pixels across), which also takes out the photo’s location.
One map per site: every round at that site uses it, in every league and comp. A round held at another wall that is not one of your sites (its name typed in on the Problems tab, where you say where the round is held) has a map of its own.
2. Pin the problems
- Pick a problem in the list under the map (an ink outline shows which).
- Tap the map where it is. The pin is saved straight away, and the next problem with no pin is picked.
- To move a pin, drag it, or pick its problem and tap the new place. To take one off, pick it and press Remove pin.
Pinch to zoom in on a phone, or use Zoom in and Zoom out. The list says which problems are pinned. It works well on a phone: walk round the wall and pin each problem where it is.
Next round
Copy last round’s problems (Problems tab) brings the pins too when both rounds use the same map. Then move only the pins of problems that were reset.
Change the map
Replace the map keeps every pin where it was on the image, so if the new photo is framed differently, move the pins that are out. Remove the map hides it from climbers and keeps the pins for a new one.
On paper
Print tab, Map with problem numbers: the map on A4 with each problem’s number, and a key of colours in words. Put it up beside the paper scoresheets.
