Help guides
Short guides for running ClimbTable yourself: setup, the night itself, and what to do when something goes wrong.
- Set up your wallYour name and colours, a league or comp from a template, and your problem list. You set it up yourself.
- Add a mapA floor plan or photo of your wall with each problem pinned, so climbers find problems on their phones. You set it up yourself and change it as often as you like.
- Shared-pot scoringEach problem’s points are split among everyone who tops it, so a problem is worth more the fewer climbers top it. You choose it for a league or comp and can change it any time.
- Run squad nightsGive each squad its own ranking in one league, or run a one-off squad night as a comp.
- Comp-night checklistWhat to do the day before, an hour before, during and after a round.
- If the wifi failsScores wait on the phones. New climbers and long outages: use paper, then type it in.
- Run a test with your staffA dry run before the night. Test scores are kept apart and cleared with one click.
- Paper fallbackPrintable scoresheets, a results sheet and results downloads, plus fast staff entry when phones let you down.
- Public results on climbtable.comShow your comps and leagues on climbtable.com. Only climbers who choose to appear, aged 16 and over, under a display name they pick.
